Screen Printing

Screen printing is the process of applying an image (picture or design) in ink directly on an item or a garment, then curing the completed design to produce a permanent image. We can screen print on any textiles including tee shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, shorts, jerseys, jackets, and more! All fees and pricing are dependent on the individual job, with variables such as: the number of colors in the design, complexity of the artwork, and the number of locations on the garment to be screen printed.

Embroidery

We can embroider your logo or slogan on any one of a thousand items including fleece, sweaters, caps, jackets, shirts, towels, robes, and stocking caps. All fees and pricing are dependent on the individual job, with variables such as: the number of stitches in the design, complexity of the artwork, and the number of locations on the garment to be embroidered. A digitizing fee will apply to designs that require an exact match. Like, company logos, designs, and particular type styles.

Artwork Guidelines

Artwork is a very important part of the process for screen printing and embroidery. If you don't have any artwork and only an idea, run it past our design team and they can help develop a design for you. Our design team has developed artwork for tournaments, organization, funraisers, special events, logos for new businesses, and more!

If you are providing your own artwork it needs to be camera-ready if possible. For best results supply your artwork on CD. For design specifications see design F.A.Q.s below. If you supply artwork on paper it should be produced on a laser printer and to actual size. Printed artwork requiring enlarging could loose resolution and cause the image to not come out clear. Bubble jet printers do not give lines enough definition and will not be accepted.

Here are a few guidelines for printing your camera ready artwork:

Design F.A.Q.s
What do I do if I can't funish camera ready artwork?
  • If you do not have camera ready artwork, our Design Dept. can scan the image (your logo, business card, letterhead or other item with your logo on it) and clean it up to make it camera ready. Clients are reponsible for all art preparation if a design is requested or needs cleanup. Art preparation is $30.00 per hour, minimum one hour.

I'm unable to print my design to the correct size, what do I do?

  • If you are unable to print your design to correct size you will need someone to do that for you. If you don't find someone local or don't want to hastle with it, just send us your artwork on CD or e-mail it to us. We will print and seperate the colors for you. E-mail artwork to: kicks@neb.rr.com.

I can provide my artwork on CD?

  • If you can supply your artwork on CD that is great. Our design team works on G4 Macintosh computers. You can furnish your artwork on a CD or 100 MB zip disk. We will return the CD and zip disk back to you when we are finished.

What design programs does your design team use?

  • Our design team uses these popular applications: Photoshop CS2, Freehand MX, Illustrator CS. We prefer your artwork be furnished in a vector format if possible. This format will allow our design team to make any changes needed to your image without loosing resolution. Lines and edges will come out real clean.

Do I need to send the font I am using?

  • We recommend you send the fonts you are using in your artwork in case we don't support that particular font. If you supply your artwork in a Illustrator or Freehand document you can convert the fonts so you do not have to worry about sending them to us. Please supply a printout or PDF file of your artwork so we can compare and make sure the image we see is correct.

I used Photoshop to design my artwork, should I have it to correct size for you?

  • Yes, please have your design to the correct size you would like printed. Also make sure to have the resolution no lower than 300. It may be necessary to supply your design on CD because the file size may be quite large. You can save your file as a .tif, .jpeg, .eps or .pdf.

Should I furnish you a color copy of the design?

  • You should furnish our design team a color printout of your design. This enables us to see the final artwork and allow us to verify layout and colors used.

Can I e-mail your design team our artwork?

  • Yes, you can email us your artwork. You can e-mail your artwork to kicks@neb.rr.com
